Day 162 | Week 24

Memory: The Dallas block party and the tour of the Nasher that you gave me. I have a distinct memory of the side profile of your face while out in the garden.

Day 161

Today was supposed to be a day of rest but life often intercedes. 🙂 Got up and mowed Bennett’s lawn then drove out to Waxahachie to get the trailer. Finally got it home around 4, cleaned up and headed to dinner downtown and then to drum class. Long day!

Memory: Drinks at Midnight Rambler before RENT.

Day 160

Last day of faire. Had planned to take the trailer home tonight but it was blocked in so I left it there and came home. Thankful it is over for the season.

Memory: That little stop sign on NW Highway.

Day 159

Today has been nice. I got up early and went to faire where it rained quite a bit but that is not a bad thing. I rather like the rain days. I just left SMU where Nora had a very adorable recital.

Memory: Convincing me to try a super-moon shoot on the roof of my garage.

Day 158

Madison, one of Bennett’s daughters, graduated today. Jessica Shelton and I attended and then went to lunch. Headed out to faire after. So happy this is last weekend. The humidity was insane today!

Memory: Hiking to the edge of the drop-off at Eisenhower State Park.

Day 157

Going to the premiere of the new “Pirate’s of the Caribbean” movie tonight in Arlington with a bunch of faire pirate people. That will be interesting to be sure. This is the last weekend of faire and I cannot wait to have my weekends back.

Memory: The first and last time we went to Alamo Draft House.

Day 156

Went to a private photo gallery opening in Arlington tonight. (That sounds much more fancy than it was.)   -hehe-  It was fun though, and nice to get out. I sent a calendar invite out to you for June 20th this morning. I hope you accept.

Memory: Junior Mints. All of the Junior Mints.

Day 155 | Week 23

Had a nice relaxed night on a patio with friends. The weather, while kicking my butt on the allergy side, has been beautiful and mild. I caught myself daydreaming about sitting on your rooftop patio in deep conversation.

Memory: Watching “Stardust” for the first time at your place while not feeling extremely well but simultaneously feeling completely content.

Day 154

I stitched in the last signature pages into your journal last night. I have been reflecting a lot on these past five months and I am amazed how much has changed in my life for the better. You forced me to focus on who I am and I did not like what I saw. The measures I have taken to come out of the darkness are working spectacularly.

Memory: The scent of your loft.

Day 153

Memory: Laying in the grass in downtown Dallas taking selfies after our lunch destination didn’t work out. I’ve still never been there.
