New Years Eve. It was a good party. I came back to the room a little early to make this entry. We won best dressed and a trip to Mexico for it. Pretty crazy. I sent you a Happy New Year and you replied. It made me incredibly happy. We had few back and forth messages. I don’t know if you have gotten my package yet so I didn’t ask. I want to “fix it all” right now but I know you might not be ready for that so I’m trying to temper myself. I really fail at not talking to you.

Off today. Our company has all the holidays mixed up. Speaking of company. It took everything I had not to break your no contact request and text or email you a link. My work has made the international news. For a silly and humorous reason. Tomorrow is New Years.

Work. Sleep. Repeat.

Work continues to be a menace but put out a lot of fires. Day went by then gaming and then two people came over for… spiritual help.  Rare. A different night for sure and much too much to explain in a short journal entry.

One week since our meeting at City Tavern, since I got a text from you, since you shared a picture with me or a fun link. I promise these entries won’t be sad and depressed forever but right now, it’s fresh. The suddenness of our departure from friendship was a shock to me. I’m happy throughout most days, the epiphany I had last week is unchanged. It’s just the moments where I miss your texts, laughter, etc that get me. I was going through some old shoots last night and found the one we did downtown and in your loft.

Back to reality today. There was *no* traffic on the way in. I hope you are having fun on your trip! I realized this is the last trip of yours I know about but I’m sure you have more planned! Miss all your trip pictures. We’ve had a lot of issues with things at work, a lot of late nights. Hopefully it settles soon!

Christmas Day. Today was spent at my sisters with friends and family. Nate and Audrey (the couple from last night, architect) came to my sisters. They are staying with Daniel and Nikki (HBO people) but Nikki/Daniel had a family event so we invited them out. We ended up hanging out most of the day and watched a movie before they headed back out to Nikki/Daniel’s place.

It’s Christmas Eve. Tonight we went to Ft. Worth to a show at SKAT with a couple other lifestyle couples. It was a good show. After, we headed to Thompson’s Book Store. I kept remembering a conversation you and I had where I believe you excitedly told me about this place. You always know all the places! 🙂 One of the women with us I’d told you about last summer, architect but not doing it for a living.

It’s been a strange day. I mostly worked on getting leather projects done. I have a box addressed to you. It has a card along with gifts I picked up/made on Sunday after our trip. I don’t know if I should send it. I had lunch with Jennifer today and talked with her a bit. She had some interesting insight. I miss your texts. I miss your =) I hope you have a good holiday trip.

Start of vacation for me today. I think you are leaving soon for family vacation. I hope your cousin likes the strap. I was thinking tonight that we won’t get to watch the Netflix show we talked about watching together about a week ago. So much about our friendship changed so quickly.
